Oregon ABLE Accounts
PCL is an Authorized Legal Representative to provide support and manage ABLE accounts. These accounts enable people with I/DD to take control of their finances without jeopardizing their benefits. By offering customizable options, ABLE accounts promote independence and effective budgeting, which can be life-changing for someone with I/DD. These tools allow them to develop essential money management skills while maintaining stability.
Financial Management
Representative Payee Services: For those receiving comprehensive services from PCL, we can act as a Representative Payee if you choose. This means managing Social Security benefits on their behalf, ensuring funds are used appropriately for essential expenses such as housing, utilities, and personal needs. This service particularly appeals to people who may struggle with budgeting or managing their finances independently, as it provides security and peace of mind while maintaining accountability.
Training and Accountability: We provide ongoing training for team members and managers to ensure financial quality processes are followed, reviewed, and checked for accuracy. These measures uphold accountability and help maintain trust in our financial systems.
Regulation Compliance: Our financial practices adhere to the stringent requirements of the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR), offering an added layer of security and assurance beyond standard financial management.
